Hunter was not happy that T’Challa had given up his Wakanda throne to defend Hell’s Kitchen, Manhattan (T’Challa wanted to put himself to the test after some recent setbacks, while Matt Murdock needed time to recover from what had happened). He killed a few individuals in vengeance and stole the Black Panther mantle from T’Challa. After Black Panther vanquished White Wolf, he was informed that killers are not welcome in Wakanda. White Wolf and the Hatut Zeraze made appearances as Wakandans fighting the Cotati during the “Empyre” storyline. They were observed battling the Cotati archers who assaulted that area south of Khartoum.
