The 15-year-old daughter of the late Riri Williams Sr. is an engineering student named Riri Williams. After her father passed away, Riri now resides in Chicago with her mother Ronnie and her paternal aunt Sharon. She is a recognised super-genius who receives a scholarship to study at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. By himself, Riri uses materials pilfered from the campus to create an Iron Man-style armour set. She runs away wearing the suit as college security knocks on her door. Williams’s outfit gets ruined when she stops two prisoners from leaving the New Mexico State Penitentiary. To her aunt’s dismay, Riri keeps working on the garment after getting back to her mother’s house. After learning of Riri’s achievement, Tony Stark visits her.
